GREAT STA.CRUZ ISLAND, ZAMBOANGA CITY
One of the popular reasons why tourists travel to Zamboanga City is to see the beautiful island of Great Sta. Cruz. This island is just across the city and on a clear and sunny day, the pink-colored shoreline can be seen.
The islands, Great Sta.Cruz and Little Sta.Cruz, are protected marine areas in the region. This is to protect the corals that have been destroyed and will need a long time to recover. A visit to the Great Sta.Cruz will have to be coordinated with the City Tourism Office.
The pink colored corals mixed with the fine white sand produce the pink sand that has made the island popular. To see is to believe, make Great Sta.Cruz Island part of destination!
SILA ISLAND, NORTHERN SAMAR
Another pink-sand beach is Sila Island. This island is located in San Vicente, Northern Samar.
The shoreline is 92-meters long and 8-meter wide has started to attract tourists all-year round.
