There are a lot of public holidays in the Philippines that is provided by the Administrative Code of 1987. These are usually days off for the Filipino people in honor of an event or special occasion.
There are two types of holidays:
1. Regular holidays – All government and business offices as well as schools are closed on these days.
2. Special days – These holidays are announced by the government and may affect only a certain town, city or region and it can also be a nationwide holiday.
